Switching from Cal.com

  1. 1
    Export Cal.com event type settings
In Cal.com, open each event type and note its configuration: duration, availability hours, location, questions, and workflows. Cal.com does not have a bulk configuration export; capture settings manually or via the Cal.com API if you have many event types.
  2. 2
    Connect your calendars in FindTime
Go to FindTime Settings → Calendars and connect your Google or Outlook calendar. If you previously used Apple Calendar via Cal.com, you will need to route Apple availability through a bridging calendar (e.g., iCloud → Google Calendar sync).
  3. 3
    Re-create event types in FindTime
Click "New event type" in the FindTime dashboard and replicate your Cal.com configurations. FindTime supports the same core options: duration, buffer time, availability windows, and confirmation emails.
  4. 4
    Update booking links
Replace Cal.com links (cal.com/yourname/...) in your email signature, website, and any embedded booking widgets with your new FindTime URLs (findtime.co/u/your-username/meeting-slug). FindTime lets you customize the username and slug per event type.

Frequently asked

  1. FindTime does not have a one-click Cal.com importer. Event types are recreated manually in the FindTime dashboard — roughly five minutes per type. Cal.com's API can help you read existing configurations programmatically, but FindTime does not currently consume Cal.com export files directly.

  2. Cal.com's paid Teams plan is $12/user/mo (billed annually). FindTime's Professional plan is $8/mo with unlimited calendars, custom fonts, a custom domain, and payments; the AI Email Assistant is a separate $50/mo addon (30-day trial on every plan). Cal.com's Organizations plan ($28/user/mo) is required for custom branding and SSO; FindTime's Professional plan ($8/mo) includes custom branding and custom fonts.

  3. FindTime offers an AI Email Assistant ($50/mo addon, 30-day trial on every plan) that you CC on scheduling emails — it handles the conversation and books the meeting without you touching the thread. It also offers AI CRM & Contact Intelligence ($90/user/mo addon, 60-day trial included) that surfaces insights from your meeting transcripts showing who to follow up with. Cal.com does not offer either capability as of October 2026.

  4. No. As of October 2026, Cal.com does not offer an assistant that handles scheduling conversations over email. Its AI features are Cal.ai, an AI phone agent, and Cal.com Notes, AI recaps of Cal Video calls. Source: cal.com/blog/calcom-v6-7.

  5. FindTime is a managed SaaS product and does not offer a self-hosted edition. Cal.com is open-source (github.com/calcom/cal.com) and is designed for self-hosting. If owning your infrastructure is a requirement, Cal.com is the appropriate choice.

  6. Cal.com supports Google Calendar, Outlook, Office 365, Apple Calendar, and Zoho Calendar. FindTime supports Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook / Office 365. If Apple Calendar is a hard requirement, Cal.com has broader native support.

  7. Cal.com's Organizations plan ($28/user/mo billed annually) includes SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 attestations. Source: cal.com/pricing. FindTime is not yet SOC 2 certified — certification is on its roadmap — and does not support HIPAA workloads, so regulated industries should choose a certified tool today.
