Switching from Google Appointment Schedules

  1. 1
Identify what you use Appointment Schedules for today
Review your active Google Calendar Appointment Schedules (look under the "Appointment schedules" section in Google Calendar on desktop). Note how many you have, their durations, payment settings, and the questions you ask invitees.
  2. 2
Sign up for FindTime and connect your Google Calendar
Create a FindTime account at findtime.co/signup. In Settings → Calendars, connect your Google account. FindTime immediately reads your Google Calendar availability to prevent double-booking — no configuration beyond authentication.
  3. 3
Re-create your booking types in FindTime
In the FindTime dashboard, create a new event type for each Appointment Schedule. Set the duration, availability windows, buffer time, and any custom questions. FindTime's booking URL (findtime.co/u/your-username/meeting-slug) becomes the replacement for your Google scheduling page.
  4. 4
Update shared links and embedded pages
Google Appointment Schedules generates a booking page URL. Replace that URL in your email signature, website, and any places clients have bookmarked it with your FindTime booking URL. For website embedding, use FindTime's embed widget — Appointment Schedules does not offer a native embed.
  5. 5
    Reconnect payment settings if applicable
If your Appointment Schedule collected payments via Stripe, reconnect Stripe in FindTime Settings → Payments. FindTime supports the same Stripe payment flow for paid bookings.

Frequently asked

  1. Partly. A free personal Google account gets one basic booking page. Multiple booking pages, reminders, and checking several calendars need Google One Premium or a Workspace plan, and payments, co-hosts, and secondary calendars need Workspace Business Standard ($14/user/mo, annual commitment) or higher. Source: support.google.com/calendar/answer/16287038.

  2. Google Workspace Business Standard — the plan that unlocks full Appointment Schedules, including payments and co-hosts — costs $14/user/mo (annual). FindTime's Professional plan is $8/mo with unlimited calendars, custom fonts, a custom domain, and payments. The AI Email Assistant ($50/mo) and AI CRM & Contact Intelligence ($90/user/mo) are separate addons. For solo users who only need scheduling, FindTime Starter ($3/mo) is cheaper than upgrading Workspace tiers and works with both Google and Outlook calendars.

  3. FindTime supports Outlook / Office 365 (Google Appointment Schedules is Google-only), Zoom and Microsoft Teams (Appointment Schedules supports only Google Meet), an embeddable booking widget, and custom branding on every plan; round-robin scheduling on the Teams plan ($15/user/mo); and optional AI Email Assistant ($50/mo addon, 30-day trial included) and AI CRM & Contact Intelligence ($90/user/mo addon, 60-day trial included). Appointment Schedules offers none of these. Source: support.google.com/calendar/answer/10729749.

  4. No. Google Appointment Schedules does not have an AI assistant that reads and responds to scheduling emails. It sends up to five automated confirmation and reminder emails but does not process inbound scheduling conversations. Source: support.google.com/calendar/answer/10729749.

  5. Google Appointment Schedules works exclusively with Google Calendar for availability — it is a native Google Calendar feature. FindTime supports both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook / Office 365. If your team uses Outlook or a mix of calendar systems, FindTime handles cross-platform scheduling that Appointment Schedules cannot.

  6. No. Google Appointment Schedules only supports Google Meet as a video conferencing option. FindTime integrates with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, making it better suited for teams that use multiple video platforms. Source: support.google.com/calendar/answer/10729749.
